These panels are meant to match the existing cabinet doors to fit a look and consistent pattern in cabinetry but are not usable doors. Also referred to as a “Fake Door.”
Fake Door, False Doors, and Decorative Doors are usually found on base cabinets to keep the pattern of the cabinet row looking consistent. These are purely aesthetic and not functional. These are found in places like kitchen islands where two of the doors are functional, but fake doors between those functional doors make a better appearance, rather than leaving a flat or slab surface.
