This cabinet style has the doors and drawers cover the frame completely from the front appearance, so the frame nor the body of the cabinet are exposed. This is a popular style in both framed and frameless cabinets and has more of a modern look.

Full overlay is considered a contemporary-looking cabinet style. From the side, the surface looks flat, compared to the partial overlay which has separate front panels resting outside the cabinet frame. Full overlay cabinets need handles or pulls to open them easily since the door and drawer fronts are flush with the box.
